Bottled beer is a tricky one. Draft offers entirely different parameters for argument. As bottled beers go, I'm going to have to side with Chimay (Belgium) since it's one of the oldest, strongest, and best tasting beers in the world. Depending on the occasion, the Lambic Framboise or Peche (Strawberry or Peach flavored beer from Belgium) also ranks way up there. If you've never tried one, look for it at your local liquor store and share a bottle with someone you love. Peace.

Some friends of mine were talking about how great Chimay is and equally great is the restaurant that serves it. I've never had it before, so I'd like to see it in the line-up and find out how well it goes with Grade A Pizzetta.

Corona's a no-brainer if the bar can handle limes... or have I been out in the sun too long?

You might have well been out in the sun too long, but that is cause for memory lapses and such ;-) But, yes. Corona with a fresh, juicy slice of lime is a must-have at any pizzetteria.

It should go without saying that Cottrell Old Yankee Ale is the best beer around. I grew up in Belgium, so my palette was honed by the Belgian brews. Still, after travelling extensively through Europe and the US, the rule of thumb is that THE CLOSER YOU ARE TO THE SOURCE, THE BETTER THE BEER IS GOING TO BE. Cottrell is the best and freshest beer in the area. It's all natural, has no additives, and packs a delicious punch. It doesn't fill you up or tire you out and is absolutely crucial in the appreciation of a beautiful Pizzetta Pie;)
